WHAT TO SEE!!!

A fleet race precedes the actual America's Cup Race commencing April 16th, 2007.  For 90 days, the above list of syndicates from several countries race against each other to determine the Challenger for the Cup.  On June 23rd, 2007, the winning Challenger races against Alinghi of Switzerland, Defender and Holder of the Cup, best five of nine races, to capture the America's Cup.

SEEING THE RACES

In previous Cup races two small objects at great distances were all that could be seen from land. Valencia provides a venue from land to actually see and enjoy it all. Tour boats are also available to shadow the races. On land, shops, restaurants,
historic sites, hotels, etc. are right there for tourism accommodation.

WHEN TO GO!!!

Let April shake out some sailing experiences, crews and yachts.  In my opinion, there will start to show a lower and upper tier of the Challengers.  Based on boat, crew, skipper, training, shore support and money, this will happen.  I will give my overview shortly.  Go, see the beauty of "The Cup", and experience the hospitality of Spain and the Spanish people.

SEE PREVIOUS PAGES FOR HISTORIC TOURIST THINGS OF INTEREST.
ALSO, A LIST OF HOTELS AND RESTAURANTS IS THERE TO PERUSE.
