America's Cup Update - Valencia, Spain - 19 May, 2007

DONE DEAL - BMW/ORACLE down 5-1 and out...

Lost in the starts, no recovery except once, Ellison says he will continue to compete next time.  Two things, brilliance by Spitwell for Luna Rosa, an integrated flawless total team effort and just maybe BMW-Oracle under estimated their opponents and were overconfident going in, more later.  Emirates should complete their victory in the other semi, Cutler for Spain was Mr. Cool in todays win!!  They are 4-2 now in this best 5 of 9 races, will sail Tuesday.  Versus, good job on feed coverage, also on Versus web site "live".
There will be 20-20 hindsite, rumors, gossip and finger pointing and personality departures, ignore all., res ipso facto.  May I inject a Plato-Aristotle Humanist counter thought?  The boats were almost equal, the difference was human performance and error. The start is super critical !
